His favorite part of the job is working with his employees and customers and meeting new people. His goal is to make sure his employees and customers are happy. In his spare time, he enjoys boating & spending time with his family.
Phillip Keys
General Manager
Phillip has been in the HVAC industry for 12 years and the last 5 of them have been with Schaal. His favorite part of his job is the CULTURE we’re creating. Where our employees hold each other ACCOUNTABLE to SERVE our clients with integrity and ASPIRING to be LEADERS in our industry and community. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his wife and 3 kids. He loves to golf. He also coaches his son’s soccer team!

Joe worked in the trades as an accountant for three and a half years before making the move to a warehouse role. He likes that his position keeps him physically active and allows him to interact with all of his coworkers from the office and the field. When Joe isn’t working he enjoys playing video games and table top games.
Dave Glaza

Dave has been working as a warehouse associate in the HVAC industry for over 35 years. He is a tremendous asset to the team with his extensive knowledge of parts, equipment, and desire to maintain a clean and organized shop. Outside of work, Dave spends time with his family, especially his grandkids, making sure to attend as many of their sporting events & activities as possible. In his free time, he makes wooden flags and other woodworking items and is a Green Bay Packers fan.
Mallory Frey

Mallory has over 5 years of customer service experience, and her associate’s degree in marketing. She loves helping our customers, taking on marketing projects, and being part of the Schaal family. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with family and friends and camping.
Ryan Renfro

Ryan enjoys helping people fully understand their heating & cooling system while providing customers with options to maximize their comfort and save money while doing so. He has been in the industry for over 10 years and has done a wide range of things from answering phones to inventory to plumbing, heating, and cooling technician. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with Dana, his wife, and their dogs. He is also involved in many ministries with his church, enjoys fishing, hunting, and watching football.

Allison Gibson

Allison has done accounting in the HVAC industry since 1995. Her biggest passions are reading, her adorable pug (Otis), spending time with her family, and the awesome culture at Schaal. Allison has an upbeat "can do" attitude: in 2016 Allison won Schaal's "Rookie of the Year" award, in 2018 Allison won Schaal's "Motivation" award, and in 2019 Allison won Schaal's "Motivation" and "MVP" award. When she is not crunching numbers or working with her team, Allison can be found singing and dancing around the office. She is definitely not typical, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Danielle Long

After 14 years as an office manager and service writer, Danielle was looking for a change of pace. We were lucky enough to welcome her to Schaal as our Accounts Receivable Specialist in 2020. When she is not capturing family memories on the pages of her many scrapbooks, you can find Danielle down at the race tracks – no, no… she is not a part-time racecar driver, but – her husband, son, and daughter all are! We are excited to have Danielle on the team and part of the Schaal family.
Jacobe Galloway

Jacobe enjoys getting to help people, especially when they need us the most. Outside of work, she loves doing fun things with her children, painting, and reading books. She is all about trying new things and embarking on adventures. Fun fact: Jacobe eats Cheeto curls with a fork. Her fingers don't get cheesy so it is a win win!

Born and raised in Des Moines, Katie earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from Grand View University. She has been in the customer service industry for more than 15 years and loves that Schaal has such a family atmosphere. Katie started at Schaal as a customer service representative in 2017 and has since moved to an administrative assistant, where her incredible organization skills have been put to great use. Katie is a cat mom to a pesky flat-faced Persian cat named Lorenzo. She is a huge fan of the Iowa State Fair, and you can find her at the fairgrounds all ten days of the fair. She is an amazing chef and loves spending time with her niece Evelyn and her family and friends.
